1. Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (PBAPP)

(PBAPP) received two awards at the 33rd Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO) in 2015. The “ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award 2015” was conferred upon PBAPP for its engineering achievements at the Sungai Dua Water Treatment Plant (Sungai Dua WTP) in Seberang Perai.

The second AFEO award for PBAPP is the conferment of the “ASEAN Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award” for Year 2015 upon Dato’ Ir. Jaseni Maidinsa (CEO of PBAHB and PBAPP) for his success as an Outstanding Engineer and Industry leader who has devoted constantly to the Society and Community in Malaysia.

On 21 November 2013, PBAPP was honoured as Malaysia’s ‘Water Services Operator of the Year’ in the inaugural Ke ITHA Industry Awards (KIA) ceremony organised by the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (Ke ITHA), Malaysia. PBAPP also received the inaugural “Efficiency Award• in the water industry category, scoring a memorable “double• for Penang in the field of sustainable water supply management.

In 2011, PBAPP received the WaterLinks award for “Best Water Operator Partnership” for its collaboration with PDAM Tirta Musi to improve water supply in Palembang, Indonesia. WaterLinks represents the International Water Association (IWA), the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

 

 

2. PBA Resources Sdn Bhd (PBAR)

PBA Resources Sdn Bhd (PBAR), the second subsidiary is a management company that manages the Penang Water Services Academy (PWSA) and the Air Itam Teambuilding Centre (AITC).

PWSA is the first Malaysian academy to offer water industry training to the personnel of all water suppliers, Malaysian and foreign. PWSA’s mission is to facilitate and provide “real world” technical education and training programmes to the water supply workforce of today and tomorrow.

The AITC is a fully equipped teambuilding centre that is located on the grounds of the picturesque Air Itam Dam in Penang. An eco-friendly centre, it is equipped with both indoor and outdoor training facilities (including 24 innovative training elements), as well as accommodation and facilities for groups of up to 100 persons.
